Big Easy a long-tail electric cargo bike that will expand your what's possible by a bike! From your local Bike and Brew to Okotoks and back with the Big Easy.

  • Simplify the Haul With an Electric Cargo Bike

Riding loaded with cargo is core to us here at Surly, whether we’re running a front rack and bag setup or a long-tail cargo bike with passengers along for the ride. There are times, however, when even the strongest riders are limited in what they can haul, so we created Big Easy – our long-tail electric cargo bike. Consider it the 18-wheeler of the cargo bike world, minus the diesel fumes.

When it comes to geometry, Big Easy rides and feels like a normal-length bike – the upright, engaged rider position keeps things comfortable. So, whether you want to wave goodbye to the old family gas hog, upgrade your bike-supported business’s two-wheeled fleet, or simply haul more bowling balls during your daily commute, Big Easy makes doing all that, well, easy.

    • Full component set selected for the demands of heavy cargo hauling, including Tektro four-piston hydraulic brakes for enhanced stopping power
    • Expanded rider fit per size and long throw dropper post compatibility to improve bike sharing among different-sized riders
    • Equipped with the most powerful Bosch electric bike motor for elevated performance
    • Features Surly dual-leg kickstand for unmatched stability when loading and unloading cargo
    • Two-seat compatibility for human passengers big or small – no adapter needed (Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi and Burley Dash)
    • Lower stand over height for improved stability when stopping, mounting, and dismounting
    • High-rise Surly Sunrise handlebars give riders leverage to control heavy loads and the body position to keep you comfortable
    • Featuring updated Big Dummy bags with simplified design and consistent cargo capacity
    • Damping headset for smooth and stable handling under heavy loads
    • Capable of running dual batteries for extended range
    • Large-volume 26 x 2.5" Extraterrestrial tires for smoother rides and durable wheel builds for added stiffness and strength
