The Woodchipper is Salsa’s distinctive off‑road drop handlebar, engineered to give riders confident control and lasting comfort when the terrain gets rough. Its design uses bends across three different planes, creating notably wide lower sections while still keeping the drop shallow. Because of its unconventional geometry, the bar performs best when set up with the brake/shift levers angled slightly downward, producing roughly a 20–25° downward tilt in the drops.
